Parent Power

Parent Power

Throughout the EYFS we provide a wide range of opportunities to develop strong partnerships between home and school. At Broadstone Hall we believe parents are power and immensely value the role that you as parents play in your child’s education. When your child starts at Broadstone, you too become a part of our Broadstone family and we endeavour to support you to ensure your child gets the best possible start to school. Some of the things we do to support this partnership are…

·      Home visits before your child starts nursery

·      Parents Meeting before your child starts reception

·      Twice yearly parent’s evenings

·      Day 1 coffee morning to welcome you to our school

·      Weekly newsletter comes home on a Friday with current learning and how you can support your child at home

·      Using Tapestry, an online learning journal, to share your child’s achievements/learning between home and school.

·      Parent workshops such as Reading and Phonics Meetings are held at regular intervals throughout the year to offer further insight into the teaching methods we use, including how children can be supported at home

·      Parent events such as tea parties, reading sessions and other linked curriculum events are held at various points throughout the year

·      Social events run by our fabulous school PTA (FOB -Friends of Broadstone)

·      Having an open-door policy – staff are always around at the beginning and end of the day if you have any questions/worries/concerns
