Y6 SCIENCE

Y6 have been learning about their respiratory system this week using Virtuali-Tee’s! This interactive classroom tool allowed the children to receive a learning experience that makes science memorable and engaging.

YEAR 3 TRIP TO MANCHESTER MUSEUM

Year 3 & 4 had a very exciting trip to Manchester Museum primarily to see the Egyptian exhibit but also getting the chance to see lots, lots more.

This enhanced their history topic and Guided Reading this term, giving the children the visuals to be able to understand “What is a Mummy? How exactly were they made?” The children learnt the secrets of the embalmers & even saw a really Mummy in a casket covered in bandages mummified!

Y6 READING BUDDIES

Is a heart-warming scheme set up in school where Year 6 work alongside children from Reception to Y2, mentoring them with their reading. The Y6 buddies sit, nurture & listen to the little ones read; supporting them with their letters & sounds.

ARTWORK @ REDDISH LIBRARY

In conjunction with Reddish Library – we were asked if we could help to brighten up their windows while they have scaffolding outside. KS2 Art Club were happy to take on the challenge and produced these fantastic stain-glassed art pieces that were collected before Christmas and are now proudly displayed in the library windows.
