All parents are automatically members of FOB– so a very warm welcome to you. FOB organises a variety of fun events for pupils, parents & school staff to raise funds for the school.

Summer Term
Summer Term FOB meeting: Many thanks to all who attended our FOB meeting on Wednesday 28th April. We reviewed the success of the Spring term & discussed future fundraising projects, including supporting the development of a covered outdoor play area for the Nursery.
Janet Hartley announced that she will be stepping down at this year's AGM. Is there any interest in volunteers taking on this role from September this year? Please approach Janet, Caroline or Sarah for further info. Volunteers to shadow Chair, Treasurer & Secret Santa leader would also be warmly welcomed.
Non Uniform Day Friday May 28th & Bad Hair Day Friday July 23rd: Please bring in donations towards our tombola at the Musical Evening. Look out for the green flyers for details.
Fun Afternoon Wednesday July 14th : We have moved our Fun afternoon to a Wednesday this year. This is a great event where all children in school get to enjoy an afternoon of fun on bouncy castles & slides & on fair stalls-all for free! There will be sweets & ice cream on sale & parents are invited to come along & join in the fun. We will be meeting on Tuesday 15th June to plan this event. Please contact Sarah, Caroline or Janet if you would like to help out at this event.
Wednesday FOB AGM July 21st: All are welcome to join the yearly celebration of FOB successes. With wine & cheese we will review the year's events & say "thank you" to the many people who have helped us.
Musical Evening Monday 26th July: The Musical Evening marks the end of another school year. FOB will be running a bar, Bar-B-Q, sweet stall & tombola. Again any help to run these stalls would be greatly appreciated.
Summer Disco Tuesday 27th July: The last disco of the year-a significant event for all, especially for our Year 6 children. Look out for the green flyers!
Spring Term Overview
What a successful term of fundraising! We took over £1,000 through our 3 spring term events.
Thank you to Julie Battersby & Suzanne Sutherland for organising another successful disco. Much fun was had by all as always.
Again the adult quiz night was a big success. Thank you to Mrs Nazir & her helpers who provided the tasty curry, to Mr McAlpine for helping with the question setting & Simon Marsden for co-hosting the quiz. BIG thanks to Sue Lewis for organising & hosting this entertaining evening.Thank you to all who came along & made this such a successful, fun event.
Finally, many thanks to all who bought Easter raffle tickets & helped raise over £250! Big thanks to Julie Kelly for organising this event.
Successful Autumn Term
Autumn is always our busiest fundraising term & this year was no exception. Through Bingo Night, Fun Mats, Family Photographs, The Christmas Fair & Secret Santa we raised over £4500 last term!
Many thanks to all of you who donated, helped organise, ordered goods and come along to our events! It was a great team effort. Special thanks to Bernie Lacey, Caroline Lee & Lisa Massa who helped lead the photograph, Fun Mat & Secret Santa events.
BROADSTONE HALL’S CHRISTMAS FAIR
A BIG thank you to all who came along & supported our Christmas Fair. It was a great success with much fun had by many. Together we raised over £2,500 on the night! A fantastic result!
As always we were well supported with many local buisnesses, as well as larger companies donating prizes. A big thank you to all of you who kindly donated prizes.
A special thank you to Ruby Carr for her beautifully made button jewellery & Linda Peacock for her yummy organic foods.Both proved very popular on the night.
Not forgetting to thank our special guest Santa & of course Fobby the Fox for coming along & adding to the festivities!
Bingo Night 2009
Many thanks to all of you who came along to our Bingo evening on 9th October. We had a fantastic turn out with many of you enjoying a hot dog and a curry along with your games of bingo. Very impressed to see some of our younger pupils playing more than one card at a time! Big thanks to all who came along to help. A special thank you to Mrs Nasir and her helpers for cooking up a beautiful curry and to our Bingo callers Sue Lewis and Simon Marsden who entertained us all.
